I thought I had bought a Maximianus and it arrived today. Turns out that it is Galerius. It has the best Genius I have ever seen.   Tilt to see the sheen   Galerius, as Caesar AE Follis. London mint. MAXIMIANVS NOB CAES laureate, cuirassed bust right (small head, long neck) GENIO POPV-LI ROMANI Genius standing left, modius on head, naked but for chlamys draped over shoulder (hangs low), holding patera and cornucopiae. No mintmark. RIC VI London 15. |

His uniform is quite detailed and the coin scores high on the eye appeal scale.
The problem you now have is you must find 3 more Folli of the other Illyrian Generalissimo's who issued from the same source !
Otherwise Galerius might get lonely

I was going to sell it on, but it was labelled and numbered pretty darn quickly and is sitting in it's tray. It is not going anywhere!
