I've only ever collected wheat pennies as a hobby so coins like these really allude me. It seems they're both S coins but because of their wear and the gunk on the 1949 Franklin coin I'm not sure whether I could get anything from selling it.

Are those crocodile clips you're using to hold your coins? Never handle a coin with metal like that because you will end up scratching them! Just use your clean, dry hands (wear gloves if you prefer, but I don't recommend it) and hold only by the edges.

Franklins, as far as I know, are still common and don't often carry much premium over melt when circulated, and yours is very worn.
I'll let someone more knowledgable tell you about the Barber.
Rest in Peace

Your 1910-s barber half seems to be in AG-3-G-4 condition. $12- $17 retail.
Oh yeah, those metal tipped thongs are not good to handle coins as mentioned.
circ. Franklins are cheap but you happen to have one of the better dates and mint.
