1943 No Mint Mark

I found this a few weeks ago CRH. I can't see a mint mark, the weight is right at 4.94 grams, and I can't see any scratch marks indicating the MM was removed.

Pretty sure I see a faint S in the first pic, maybe a greased die?

Now that you mention it, when I move my computer screen around and look at it from different angles, I can kind of see an "S" also.

Oops, sorry, that would be a 1944, not a 1943. A 1943 is going to be a Greaser or removed.

Thanks for the help with this, I've seen a few others online that are missing mint marks and didn't know if it was noteworthy or not.

I see what looks like an S in the second pic but it's in the wrong spot. On the last pic I see a P or D in the right spot. Most likely a P
