I hope you did not take too hard of a hit for that.

Circulated coins don't "shine" or have strong luster. Worth melt value. Polished or heavily cleaned.

See how most of the detail is missing?

Search for some images of standing liberty half dollars and compare them to yours.

I agree, this has been polished, cleaned, whizzed, or whatever else you want to call it. When people do this to a coin, they take most all of the collector value away from it.
