Archraz Pillar of the Community United States 3499 Posts	Posted 06/14/2015 08:19 am HI everyone, I just found a second 2015 penny in circulation. However, the obverse has a new image of the queen and a differing legend. Has anyone heard anything about these 2015 varieties? Is the mint producing both types simultaneously? Thanks! Red Valued Member United Kingdom 252 Posts	Posted 06/14/2015 08:36 am The ones with the old portrait were being minted up until the new portrait was revealed, and then all made after this time will have the new 5th portrait. Most people believed only the higher denomination coins would have the new portrait, but clearly not. (Unless you've been lucky enough to find a one someone has taken out of a set) Report this Post to the Staff
