nothing amazing, but I nice bargain bin score for me here (10.54 delivered). I always keep an eye out for alexandrian tet, and didn't have one with eirene on the reverse (i thought it was elpis when I bid...didn't even really know who eirene was till I got this coin).

Nice score, Chris. I like how the greenish patina in the fields offsets the raised devices. Pretty coin.

Hi chrsmat,
Not many collectors of these provincial types from what I have seen on here so far, I like them though.
My very 1st ancient purchase is the Diocletian with the scales, its now my " pocket " coin.
Sorry about the poor pics, I took them last night when half asleep
1st 3 are Diocletian tets and coin 4 is a probus tet.

There is something quite appealing about Alexandria tets. They are generally ratty and the dies poorly engraved, but like all aspects of ancient coins, there are exceptions. This is an interesting series of coinage for sure.
