So I went out to the frozen beach to test out my sand scoop and to do a little detecting. The sand was to hard to use the scoop. The beach was completely picked clean of metal (The early movers must have found all the good stuff)

So I moved to the picnic areas.

Was one of my most pitiful finds ever, but I thought I would post so every one could laugh at me.

I found 1 penny and well you can see what else I found in the picture.

Ok that's pityful not so bad ! the next time you get to go there there will be that much less trash to dig through .

you know one time I went out and did not find anything but junk and I looked for a few hours around the picnic areas of a local park ,, when I looked over at some brush that was in one corner next to the fence ,, well I started over that way and when I got there I could see that the center had sort of been hollowed out and there were a few things ,candy wrappers ,and a kids toy and some other surface clutter in that hollowed out area ,,it dawn on me that the kids who played there often had made a sort of hiding place/fort type thing inside the bushes ,, by the time I walked out of there ,,I had found $4.56 in change two kids rings and 5 mini cars ,hotwheel types .

the good stuff is not always where it can be easily found or where you might think it should be .
