From the pictures I can tell you that it is of Trajan, although I don't know if it's a sestertius or dupondius. The reverse is Vesta I think but I could easily be wrong.
Not particularly rare, no, though I'm sure certain issues are. Without the size/weight I can't figure out what this one is but based on the condition I'd expect it to go for under on around $100. That's just an off the cuff estimate though.
It would help if the images where facing the right way around and more clearer. Your coin is an AS of the emperor Trajan. I can't make out the reverse legend so I don't have a reference number for you. The coin isn't rare and based on condition probablt worth in the range of $40-$50.
Bob, it appear to be the same coin type the COS III should really doesn't make that much of a difference. So it's a Sestertius, well that would increase the value a bit, Maybe $125 or so. If we could get clearer pictures to see the condition it may increase a bit more.
