Rondomons has a lot of "gouden dukaats" similar to what you show.

The 3.5 gram weight looks right, but the mark between the legs is a mystery. Since the coin also lacks HOL, the typical mark for Holland province, I'll guess that the mark between the legs is a mintmark. But I can find no evidence for these in NL until the time of Napoleon. If this coin is authentic it would be difficult to prove that to an average buyer like me, and I'd avoid it. If you do buy it send it to NGC to authenticate and slab.

G & CZ in the legend denotes Gelderland province, so this dukaat is not from Holland province. I found a 1767 Gelderland silver halve dukaton which has a symbol next to the knight's sword that is very similar to the one between the knight's legs on the gouden dukaat. It is probably the Gelderland mintmark but again it is rare for there to be any mark between the legs.

Interesting variety, not really rare, but still only 125,000 pcs. struck for that date.

It is a Gelderland ducat, maybe a little worn, but fully legit and original.

The mint mark is a twig.

Looks good to me. I know there are gold trade copies of ducats made at locations other than the stated mints but this one has an authentic period look to it.

The symbol between the legs is actually not a mint mark, but a mint master mark. This symbol, the 'geknotte boom' or pollarded tree, is the mark of mint master Carl Cristiaan Novisadi who was the mint master of the province of Gelderland between 1757-1776. The golden ducats struck in Gelderland between 1758-1763 have this symbol between the knight's legs.

Coins from Gelderland have either a mint mark (the Gelderland Cross) or a mint master mark, but normally not both.

The official weight of the golden ducats is 3.51g, but most ducats you'll find are between 3.45-3.50g.

As coinworldtv already said, the coin is legit.

I would vote for ebay - even with all of its issues it is still a large audience and prices remain HIGH.
