I don't like the look of this coin, however before I notify people I want to get some expert views. I don't like the portrait, or the legend. I am including first the fake (alleged) then a real version. Judge away!

The font is the give away, in my opinion, the nice round edge on the 12 o'clock position most noticeable on the reverse seems more convenient than authentic.

I think you are right ,the whole coin has a non roman look , it is to heavy for mee , sorry I do not find the right word ;on the reverse the lion looks more a hippopotame with horse legs and the thunderbolt also looks not real . Did you chech in RIC of the inscription indulgen / tia augg exists?albert

I agree, doesn't look authentic. As AN said the font looks off, the letters look a bit 'blockish' for lack of a better term and I don't see any evidence of flow lines

The overall look of the coin looks wrong. I agree it's fake. Is there a casting line alone the edge?

Interesting. Seller is on Vcoins. Maybe drop a line to Ras and see what he thinks of the coin.

Edit: Tantalus profile states he is on vcoins, I can't find him though.

I checked this seller out, his ebay store is closed, and he never existed in vcoins in spite of his claims. I dropped note to the owner of Tantalus informing him of all this. Alas, coin is still for sale today.
