I have started messing around with my new camera and of course, want to use to snap some photos of my coins. Let me be the latest to say, it is harder than it looks. I am trying to get image as close to "in-hand" appearance as possible. I would welcome any feedback from the esteemed audience!

EDIT: I have uploaded a better sized version and the reverse as well.

BTW--- I am using a Sony DSC-H3 8.1 Megapixel
F 3.5
1/200
auto ISO setting
I am using 2 GE 100 watt "Reveal" bulbs mounted at 10 and 2. My camera sits at about 8 inches from the coin.

Not a bad first attempt, while balance looks pretty good. Your image size is too small. For this forum, I use full camera resolution, then use an image editor to take it to 800x600. That normally brings the file size to just under 100k. Don't be afraid to use zoom on your cam to fill the frame. I typically use between 2.8x and 1.8x depending on the distance from the camera. Keeping the camera back allows more light to get to the coin. Keep trying! You're off to a great start!
