1913 Lincoln Cent

I think what is confusing people is the die state, this coin is mid to late, so some of the detail has been lost in the finest design points.

The biggest clue we need to truly determine if this has been circulated is missing from the picture....LUSTER. If it is uncirculated, it will show clean, mostly unbroken cartwheel luster under the brown. This coin could very well be AU but without seeing it in hand, it's hard to determine. I choose to call it unc based the the lack of obvious rub, the absence of marks and mint state rims.

Capturing the cartwheel spokes isn't too difficult, it's all about the light and how it hits the coin (angle). The trick is not letting the light cut-through the patina making the coin look cleaned. It takes some practice but it can be done.
