I have no idea, I pick up these when I'm bored. Are you referring to the darkness on the portrait or the lines on the reverse or both when you are discounting uncirculated? I'd like to learn about this series, hence posting here.

I think the black on the high devices exaggerated how much this actually circulated. AU58.

Well CCF members are all over the place on this one. EF40 to AU58. Its apparent that the obverse is the issue on this one as the discoloration appears to be caused by circulation which I'm in a agreement with. I think you have a lightly circulated coin that should grade at AU50

I'm surprised by the questionable color comments. In hand the coin has nice luster to it. The high points have seen some rub at some point, hence the darker tone on Lincolns bust. I doubt very much that this coin ever circulated, but I can see AU58, a slider to me really.
