I'm going through my albums for jeff woodys & black beauties and found this guy. The steps look full to me and it is DRIPPING with PL luster. Then I go on pcgs price guide and if I can get this into a 66 or better FS slab I'm sitting pretty. What say you. Please scutinize all pics with different angles and light diffusion.

Neither, you have a proof coin in a business strike album slot. Proof strikes are assumed to have full details as struck so the strike descriptors used for business strikes do not apply to proofs.

Oops, looks like I got ahead of myself and didn't pick up on it being in a non proof album and hiding the rims plus there's not that much cameo. Still a nice coin though. Thanks bio

The older proofs usually were shiny rather than having mirrored fields and frosty devices.
Rest in Peace

I think it will go PR66, maybe even 67 depending on the TPG used. A gorgeous nickel!

Also, is that a die crack running through the D mint mark on the coin to the left of your Proof Jefferson in the reverse views?

It's a proof, they don't get the designation.

I like the 56D next to it! Looks like some nice toning.

The thought of pushing those beautiful coins into those album holes is just scary to me.
