Bought it today for $2. Only $0.75 to ship, but I bet the stamp only cost him $0.50 and the letter less that $0.10 3 of the coins are hole fillers/ upgrades: -1858 FEC -1888 IHC-1905 IHC I figure I did well!

A FEC no matter what condition is amazing for under 60 cents. Really nice!

Oh man...that pour Flying Eagle cent....yeah for 60 cents you basically got what you paid for but I don't even know if I could have that around in my collection. Love Flying Eagle cents.

You're complaining about him making 15 cents on shipping? If you purchased it on ebay, he has to pay fees even for the shipping charges....so essentially, he's probably losing money by only charging you 75 cents shipping. Something to think about in the future.....I never complain as long as shipping charges are within reason because I know ebay is taking a cut as well. For sellers who charge exact shipping on ebay, they're losing money each time they sell something.

I would say you did well, the seller though if through ebay, not so well..... he is selling at $0.3725 per coin, is it really worth the time? Screenshot from New Life Auctions ebay AND PAYPAL FEE CALCULATOR

You're complaining about 75 cent shipping? Really? He received $1.49 in the sale.

I really was not intending to stir the pot, so to speak. However, I was just using this as a bit of education for both buyers and sellers if using ebay and/or PayPal.

I think the OP was being sarcastic about the shipping charges! At least that is the way I read it. Not that he was complaining about it. Come on, think people!

Again, I meant no offense to the OP, I just see a lot of people new to ebay, especially on the selling side, that do not fully understand what fees are associated. When I first started selling on ebay I will admit that I was surprised how much of a "premium" some of my 90% silver and jewelry was selling for. Then I did the math and saw that I really was wasting time, effort, and energy that could be better spent on other, more profitable items (both buying and selling.) However if my post was taken as a negative, I am sorry and hope that this clears up things, and I apologize for any offense.

I'd say you basically got what you paid for. Even if the reverse of the '95 is nice, you'd be lucky to get a buck if you tried to sell it. The '01 seems to have a corrosion spot, and the other three are culls.

I think that there is more intangible value to a collector of old coins in this lot than a monetary value. If resold the monetary result would probably be similar. Enjoy them, they are pieces of our heritage as Americans. Flying Eagles are one of my favorite designs, just think about all of the history they have seen.
