I have a couple of Morgan dollars in PCGS holders that were not TrueViewed by PCGS. However, I have high quality images that I can use to create a TrueView certification image. I was wondering if anyone knows which font they use for the certification number? Any help is greatly appreciated. TrueView image for reference:

I would assume they use a proprietary font to help cut down on counterfeits.

Quote: I would assume they use a proprietary font to help cut down on counterfeits. I didn't even consider that. This may indeed be the case. Well, I could just cut and paste the different numbers from other TrueView images I have and build it that way. I'll give it a shot and post a pic here when I finish. I do have some fonts on my computer that are very close. The only difference is the number "1". The font that PCGS uses styles the "1" to look like an upper-case "I".

Okay, this is what I came up with. It took about 10 minutes, and it turned out pretty good. The seller took really good photos of this slabbed Morgan. Not an easy task. . . .

Not to be a "stick in the mud" or to cast any aspersions what so ever, but doesn't this border on forgery? Or at the very least, copyright infringement?

Quote: but doesn't this border on forgery? Or at the very least, copyright infringement? It's an honest question. In this case, I think not because it is for my own personal use (image database). However, if I used this image to help sell the coin, then that would be something different because PCGS did not photograph the coin. Quote: As you now get "True View" images FREE why would you need to do this anyway? You only get the TrueView image FREE if you select the Secure Plus service. As I stated in the OP, the reason I did this is because PCGS did not photograph the coin. It was just something fun to do. With that said, however, I'm going to remove the image just in case. I don't want to cause anything negative for the CCF.
