Hey Amazon99, I watch Coin Vault too, as I'm sure many of us do.

Why do you watch?

I'm not sure why I watch. I think I enjoy the host's fact bending and sketchy take on history, etc. I also like to look at the shiny coins, like moth to a flame. The pure hucksterism is entertaining too.

I usually watch it when it's on at 2am or 3am. There's usually nothing on at that time, but I also watch it for the same reasons as you. I want to see how much bs they can spew out on the show. I agree that the huckersterism is entertaining.

Side note: I just realized that I wrote yo instead of you in the title...DOH.

Has anyone watched the AAN ( I think this is correct ) auctions on TV? ( I've strayed far from TPGs, maybe fodder for a new subset? )

This for me is riveting. Early this week they had a U.S. gold set from $20 St G. to 2.5 Indian, all 1914. If not cleaned, fake, etc, if in AU condition, would have been quite nice, even a steal, for the price. No way to know from watching the TEE VEE.

Any bidding requires pre-registration, which includes turning over your credit card info in advance. Yikes!

Still, for me, very compelling stuff. Not sure if I should check into a loony hatch or sell my TV.

Direct TV channel 324, AAN, America's Auction. I've seen jewelry, coins, misc collectables.
Same general level of goofiness as HSN. The morning host tries to sound like an auctioneer, sounds more like Porky Pig ( hebitty hebitty hebitty ) My wife is close to cutting off access. She doesn't complain about much, so I'd better be good. I kinda wish I still drank, I'd get up early to watch it every day.

The more you say it, the more natural it becomes

Brewzz,

Can you tell me what the company is? I'm interested in anything having to do with the grading service holders. I have several other questions about the holders I'd like to ask as well. Rather than do so publicly here can you send me an email?

Brewzz, how long of a process does it take to make a slab? Also, what materials are they made from?

Anacks here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. My dealer up north refers to them that way, too.

The company that molds them is Stellar Plastics. The mold we have is an 8 cavity mold.It molds 4 fronts and 4 backs each shot. The cycle time is less that 1 minute I believe....So that's about 240 holders an hour, or more.I believe they are molded from polycarbonate, but I would have to ask to know for sure...
