Pishpash Manor is having an economy drive. However, at £3.57 each, including shipping, I couldn't resist this group. There are a couple of nice ones in this lot.

Really nice lot. Amazing how little these beautiful old coins are worth.

Very nice lot. Ive seen the Licinius described as a 'pseudo-argenteus'. With any luck, yours will have a nice high silver content.

What is the one on the bottom right? That is quite a striking coin!

Quote: What is the one on the bottom right? I believe: Constantine I, AE follis, Siscia, Victories reverse...Great coin!

How to measure it though! I am looking forward to getting these. The chipped coin is Chlorus as Augustus, I don't have one of those. The Julian is a cracking portrait. The Constantine VOT looks silvered. Constantine helmeted looks good.
I haven't managed to nail down the Constantine/Sol. On the horse is either Arcadius, Honorius or Theo. Will need to read the legend for that one. The FH is almost obligatory!

Bob L is correct, I think I have it down as RIC VII Siscia 95.

Bottom right, Constantine helmeted with 2 victories on the reverse, this coin also came up on an acsearch for "pseudo argenteus". Didn't see any references to that on wildwinds. Further research needed.

One of those delightful "no brainers". And a great scoop to boot ! Well played
I think the Licinius alone was worth the price of admission

Thanks chris.
I found a conversation on forvmancientcoins which said:
"The so-called billon argenteus or pseudo argenteus was only issued by three emperors, Constantine I, Licinius I and Maximinus II and only with this reverse by Constantine. They were indeed all minted in Trier. ....."
As mine are not Trier, no need to research any further! A shame, it would have looked nice on the label.

No Dutch, unfortunately no more purchases for a while. I have plenty to keep me going though, lots to attribute, some cleaning and loads of photography.
