Well would you look at that! I know nothing about errors so can't be of help but that definitely doesn't look like PMD! Not 100% though looks interesting.

Looks too deep for grease. I will say struck through debris. Nice!

This is why I don't think planchet flaw. Look inside the hole. It is the same texture as the rest of the coin. So this means that the burnished texture is still showing. In a lamination, the texture would not be like the outside of this coin. In addition, no copper is showing. Correct me if I am wrong please?

Ah you caught that kid. I purposefully lefyltbout the texture in the center to see who would pick up on that. Bravo And you are correct about no copper showing. The middle is dullish almost like the feilds and the outer is shiny like the bust!

How does this leave the mint?

Ok so it seems all 3 of mine look to have the same sort of doubling so maybe it's just a lighting trick with the proof surface against RP feilds?... Oddly enough though 2 of them have the exact same threadlike mark on the obverse that I took for a light scratch on the first one I saw but on 2 in the exact spot and exactly the same threadlike pattern!? It's gotta be a die artifact if more than one coin has it right? It's not raised, just a shiny wormlike break in the RP field. I'll get pics in a minute...

Between middle head spike & torch... One is slightly stronger than the other. COIN #1 (Strikethrough coin) COIN #2
