Does anybody have an idea what this note will look like? A completely revamped look, or just the original note with a little stamp or a tiny bit of extra writing on it? I personally would like a completely new note to play around with

Canada really needs more special edition currency. Other than the 1935 $25 and the 1967 Centennial, I can't think of any other.

Well, against everyone's preference, it may be just some special mark/text on the regular notes. Quote: The note will be a variation of the existing $20 polymer bank note that already features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The variation will incorporate a special mention of Her Majesty's reign.

Seems like we won't get something completely different 'til 2017 when a 150 year commemorative will be issued.

Not the most accurate image og H.M. the Q. Although she is one of the most beautiful of older women (89 years old) this portrait looks to be of a younger woman.

Is there much press in Canada over these? I wonder how many people will actually notice the changes.

I also wonder if the Bank of Canada will release some sort of collectible package set? Easy money for them.

@Paacificcoin thanks for correcting me. I knew I was going to catch flak on that.

can you enlighten me to this, or is it that bills are "Quantity Printed" and coins are "mintage" like in saling port and starboard, not left or right, just a arts-fartes trem to weed out the novice?

I'll hold a couple, not because I expect them to be worth anything - but I'd much rather get a small number of them in sequence than what I've currently got ~ which is one here... one there... ect.

BURG-fyi:- PRINTED-run through a printing press like a newspaper.(much different though) -MINTED- silver/gold/steel (whatever the need) cut to size and weight then stamped(minted)
Rudimentary?yes, but basically that's it. Two totally different processes.
