Likely Minerva would hold a Spear.

you've posted a couple of awesome coins today imperator!
I dig big green coins...and big olichalcum coins.
and little coins.
and medium coins.
I pretty much just like all of them I guess.

Very nice coin ! Interesting portrait too. Looks much like Titus so even without the attribution it is a safe bet that it is an early piece. The later portraits often make him look like he wasn't the brightest bulb on the family tree ! Obviously he was a bit smarter than looked ! You don't last as long as he did by being a dim wit. Evil yes ...... Stupid no

Very nice Coin, with an expressive portrait of Domitianus. Like it very much. Difficult to say what Minerva is holding. To me it looks more like a spear. Here are pictures of a similar coin in my collection, with Domitian facing right, and of a different style portrait (probably later?) than yours. On my coin the reverse is quite worn, but I think I can make out what seems to be the tip of the spear resting on the ground.
