As silly as it sounds I am having trouble nailing down the mintmark/ RIC number for another coin of Constantine the great.
The reverse has a temple with Roma seated within, with the legend " ROMAE AETER "
The mintmark appears to be " PL branch "
I have only found 1 example so far with this legend on the reverse and it had no literature with it sadly.
The mintmark I have yet to find anywhere.
Its a little rough.
Obverse - FLVALCONSTANTINUSNOBC
Reverse - ROMAE AETER
Mintmark - PL Branch
Weight - 4.35g
Size - 23mm

Are you looking for Constantine 1 or Constantius I Chlorus?

As you were, Constantine it is, please excuse the senior moment. I assume you have seen the example on acsearch. It quotes RIC 99 but doesn't state the mint. PL I would think would be Lyons or London. I don't have RIV VII.

Hi Pish, thx for the reply
I found an example on a site called -
Constantinethegreatcoins, it lists all of the reverse legends with pics for most.
I have checked through London, Lyon, Rome and pretty much everywhere else without joy, several examples of the temple with Roma seated but none with this legend or mintmark.
Just checked acsearch, that's interesting how they fail to give a mint name.
It has the same mintmark as the 1 on the site I used, probably London.
The search goes on

This is RIC VI #99 for London, from the summer of 307, but is a bit lighter than normal.

The Mintmark is PLN, but the N on your example is clipped. All the other details correspond to Sutherland's description. The reverse is illustrated in the catalog for the mate to this, #100 for Maximian.
