Last week, I went out and detected for the first time this summer.
I was searching part of an old gravel road that used to be part of a farm way back when.
I was hoping for a horseshoe or something like that, but the detector returned a hit that displayed in the "Coin" section of my detector.
It turned out not to be silver (I can hope!) but a bent 1973 cent.
I'm going to have to hammer it out if I want to return it to the bank.
I'm happy to have found an (albeit bent) coin on my first time out in a while.
