All the cool kids are doing it but I cant seem to figure out how to do it. I am talking about when I want to respond to a specific post in a thread and have it quoted in my post

Click on "Reply to TOpic" as oppose to just writting out what ever you want to write in the box at the bottom of the tread.

You should see all the smilies to your left and a box called "Format Media" above the text box.

You can hover over the differnt boxes to see wht each one does. When you click on it a code will pop into your text box. CLick on the little letter with an arrow coming out of it.

Back when the forum started, there used to be a quick, easy Quote feature. Too easy, as it turns out, because too many people abused it, so now you basically have to do it manually.

If you click on "reply to Topic", one of the buttons in the "Format" section of the menu is the "Inset Quote" button. It looks like this:
How-Do-I-Do-The-Quote-Box-Thing?
However, all that clicking on this button dies is automatically type the following text for you:

It's just as easy to type those particular codes in manually; you can also type the codes in manually using the Quick Reply box instead of the Reply to Topic page.

Now, the next step is to copy the particular text you wish to quote from someone else's post (or anywhere else on the Internet, for that matter) and paste it in between the two halves of the code. Thus, typing the following:
All the cool kids are doing it but I cant seem to figure out how to do it.
Will cause the following to appear:

Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
