It's a bit rough, but looks right.

My opinion is that an ugly coin, even a rare ugly coin, will always be an ugly coin. This is a VERY ugly coin.

Aren't there ZILLIONS of better places to spend $775?

My problem would be determining value. Certainly wouldn't want to get upside down in it. If I was positive I could get my $ back......sure, why not buy it. Do some research, then throw a low offer at it

No. I can appreciate some problem coins, but this one is far too ugly for me to appreciate.

Don't do it, man. How on earth could you be sure you'd get your money back?

It's a dog.

Rest in Peace

I'm sure it's real. It's just the damage that concerns me. For say $200 I'd buy it in a heartbeat, probably even at $300. Any higher and it is a risky purchase.

Maybe, but they won't get you an 1804 large cent.

You need some fast cash. You take this to your local coin buyer. What do you think they will offer?

1804 or not, listen to the masses...

I am glad I do not collect the series. Filling that one hole in the 7070 would be painful if the 1804 was typical for the type.

That coin is worth about $250-300. Not a cent or penny more.

I know this coin is rare and all that, but remember problem coins will always be problem coins. Don't buy a coin just to say you have one. I would save up for a better example; you will not regret it.

I don't like offering any less than half the asking price. Think I'll put it on my watch list and see where it goes.

It's probably "worth" half the asking price. I echo those above who wouldn't buy it.
