The coin appears legit to me. I do not see any "red flags".

Hmmm, maybe it was the field oxidation that threw me off...

Except for the icky obverse scratches, this is a nice circulation cameo that was a very good deal at $26, I think.

I would have bought this for $26 with no problem. Great circulated eye appeal, IMO.

I wouldn't have bought this for $26, with a problem.
It's been improperly handled. You put one of those in your pocket for a couple days, and have your hand oils on it and it'll give it that white look.

Thats besides the point silly. Someone probably was given this Morgan by their grandfather and was inexperienced and probably rubbed the smack out of her.

The truth is you have no idea how this Morgan came to appear this way. No one can know for sure. I'm thinking it went for $26 because the buyer liked it's contrasting appearance. That's why I like it. I'm not saying that you couldn't be right, but there's no way to prove it. I'm really not trying to nag you. Just don't be so quick to assume the whole grandfather thing.

I would have passed on this one if I was still looking for a circulated example for my Dansco album. There are too many issues with this one for it to maintain any more than very minimal numismatic value. $18.00 tops.
