Hello again

I have this 2001 RI quarter. The front of the quarter appears to be a normal color. When you look at the back it's a yellow color as though someone painted the inside of the back of the coin. The raised part is not colored like the inside of the back of the coin. Except at the bottom of the back there appears to be a little of the yellowish color on some of the lettering. Someone would have to be a good artist I would think to get the color that perfect which is what made me question why is the back of the quarter like this. Is this color normal? Why would it be like this?

It looks like someone spray painted it yellow, and then It was worn down from pocket wear.

Thank you. It looks like that to me as well but wanted to get someone else's opinion. I've
had it for some time and before I used it I thought maybe a good idea to double check with someone else. Thank you.
