Hmm, didn't know Tiffany & Co. made redeemable coins...Kinda like a gift card of the day...

Seems they made it in a $25, $50 & a $100 denomination...

Here are a few examples:

The $25 coins are made from solid sterling silver. Tiffany & Co. has not made these coins for over 20 years, and they are no longer available for sale. Tiffany's flagship store has a few examples left in stock, and have claimed that they will never sell them. Don't miss this chance to own a beautiful piece of Tiffany & Co. history!

I wasn't aware Tiffany did these either - rather crude-ish looking for such a high end company, but very neat.

(She opens the box)

A coin! Are you kidding me, a lousy coin?!

I'd not before seen a promotional piece like the OP's before. Here's a piece of Tiffany Bros. scrip, circa 1875.

It's not pretty but only a few of these notes exist. There were a great many businesses in that era that issued these notes, but they are rarely seen by most collectors.
