I have this coin that I believe is Domitian with possibly Athena on the reverse, however she doesn't appear to be carrying a spear and on most coins of Domitian she does carry one.
Am I wrong? Can someone help out here please?
AE26 mm, 12.1 gm

Are you thinking perhaps of something like this?

Well-Worn-Coin-Of-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-Domitian?

The trouble is that all of these coins are around AE18 and mine is AE26?
These coins all weigh less than half of mine?

Not sure if it's Domitian, TC. But I do think it's probably a winged Nike/Victory reverse, not Athena.

I will go along with that, Bob, but I've drawn a blank on 'Wildwinds' and 'Ac-search'.

How about Vitellius?
Now this one 'ticks' a few more boxes.
Size and weight are O.K.
Nike is holding a wreath.
There are letters under the wreath similar to mine.

I think you are on the right track with Alexandria. Tetradrachm seems likely, possibly Vespasian, although Vitellius looks pretty good

I think that Vespasian had a real 'grumpy' look about him which doesn't suit the obverse of my coin. Galba is a better match, to me.

There are, of course, many larger AEs with the reverse type, which will make ID'ing challenging. Some are here:

Not trying to confuse matters here, but rather to provide some easy linking for comparisons...

@ Bob. - I appreciate the trouble that you went to to find those examples fo me. Thank-you.
Unfortunately (for me) all of the ForumAncientCoin links came back "No Image to Display" when I clicked on them.
I particularly liked the Elagabalus reference because I can see a younger bust on my coin, like his, and unlike Max etc.
Also, he is shown as a naked bust, and I believe that my coin shows a naked bust, too.
But then (you are right) Trajan looks like a good match, too.
