ive never seen this type of Cud, has anyone ever encountered this? its near the star. I know the picture is shotty but that all seller has.

Interesting. Possibilities: Broken-off denticle piece from another die (obverse?) struck into the coin or maybe even onto the coin as an additional piece. Perhaps a piece of another Morgan, delaminated.

Or, it's nothing at all and just coincidence that some of the "features" of whatever it is happen to be at denticle spacing.
