Silver! That US quarter looks a little worn but it is still worth around $20. Glad you had a good week.

Quote: Finally a Sunday when it hasn't been snowing! I got myself a small lot today, with some common silvers. Excellent!

Today has to be the arrival of spring, since there wasn't a single vacant space on the market today, which has been the case for the entirety of this past (or still ongoing?) winter! I once more encountered the 'silver mine' and today brought heaps more than the last bunch of weeks! 2 Öre, Sweden 1910 10 Öre, Sweden 1944, 1948, 1954, 1955 (x2), 1956, 1957 (x2), 1959 & 1962 25 Öre, Sweden 1950, 1957, 1959 & 1960 50 Øre, Denmark 1990 & 1994 1 Krone, Denmark 1965, 1972 (x2) & 1992 (x5) 2 Kroner, Denmark 1993 10 Kroner, Denmark 1990 20 Kroner, Denmark 2004 50 Pfennig, Germany 1949-F ('4' really weird on this one!), 1950-D, 1975-F & 1991-F 1 Mark, Germany 1979-G & 1990-F 5 Schilling, Austria 1969 & 1981 1 Cent, US 1957 1 DIme, US 1958-D 1/4 Dollar, US 1965 & 1973 5 Penniä, Finland 1963 10 Penniä, Finland 1970 1 Kroner, Norway 1925 1 New Sheqel, Israel 20 Rappen, Switzerland 1982 1 Shilling, UK 1948 50 Dinars, Iran (1332) 2 Rials, Iran (1333) 50 Lire, Italy 1978 (x2) Best of all: Just 30 kr for all of this! The 'silver mine' makes its name since the little food container these were in combined with other, larger coins make 'digging' these out a little bit hard, but certainly worthwile! Wow! You got a lot to keep you busy for awhile. Looks like a lot of fun there! I got the value for the 1936 quarter from Numismedia Fair Market Value Price Guide. I just checked and it isn't worth nearly that much. I must have been looking in the wrong place -- sorry. It appears that it is worth around $8 - according to that chart. I see them for less on ebay. So Who knows? Anyway, you have a lot of nice additions to your collection!

Thank you for sharing your great finds. You inspired me to give my local markets some more try (my past experiences told me that all silver coins had been scooped up at those local swap-meets (weekend market) in my area of Orange County, California). The remaining coins are listed at 'sky high price'.

Today was a beautiful and finally WARM day to enjoy! Plenty of people out today, more so than usual. Since I walk around rather quickly from table to table, I felt stuck behind much more people today than usual. Gosh darnit, you're all slowing me down Despite the sunny weather that made everything seem happy and positive for once (you appreciate these days much more after a long mundane winter!), I didn't see any real interesting batches of coins lying around, except this one: 1 Grosz, Poland 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011 2 Grosze, Poland 1997 & 2008 5 Groszy, Poland 2008 10 Groszy, Poland 2009 20 Groszy, Poland 1992 (x2), 1998, 2009 & 2009 50 Groszy, Poland 1990 2 Euro Cent, Germany 2007-D & 2010-F 5 Euro Cent, Italy 2002 & 2008 5 Euro Cent, Austria 2008 1 Penny, UK 2008 10 Agorot, Israel 1 New Sheqel, Israel 5 New Sheqalim, Israel (x2) 1 Krona, Sweden 2005 1 Lira, Turkey 2009 A small little lot with only exchange rate-value coins, apart from the now demonetized 1 Krona.Decent value pickup for 20 kr! On a side-note: Why on earth does Poland still use those 1, 2 and 5 Groszy coins? They're so utterly worthless! The 5 Groszy coins is slightly more than a US cent, the rest well below. Just, why? Surely no one would mind those going right? Quote: Thank you for sharing your great finds. Better yet if people have no knowledge about the coins they're bringing in and new deliveries every now and then. You never know when! Keep hunting!
