i have two 1979 d dimes but one seems to have bigger thicker letters and even Eisenhower looks bigger. is this common or is this an error?[][/]

By the way, its not Eisenhower on the dime it's Roosevelt

Thanks for the corrections. I just started my interest in coins after I found a 1982 no p dime. I send it to get certified and now I cant help looking at every coin I come across but it's not easy. hopefully I will get better on spotting good coins

The top coin is from a more worn pair of dies. As more and more coins are struck, the die starts to wear out, resulting in thicker, more mushy letters and reduced detail. The 60s through the early/mid 80s saw a lot of dies pushed way past their prime.
