I think the first might be another fouree. Perhaps Julia Domna. Kind of crude, but very interesting none the less. The second is a very nice posthumous issue of an aureus of Antoninus Pius. Again...from a decade long soak in olive oil. Patience does have it's rewards!

I can't make out any detail from the first coin. The second one is Antoninius Pius.

Ha! I know what you mean, Echi. Imagine how puzzled I was when that coin had crud on it! If you look at the word 'AVGVSTA' along the right edge...the nose of the portrait is directly opposite the 'G'. You should be able to make out the rest of the portrait from there. The name 'IVLIA' can be seen on the left.

i bet the first one is julia domana, looks like the legend is "ivlia augusta".
