I can see that you must be the alpha male here. So I will bow out and let you have it. Before I leave let me clear this up: CASE 1: This one is from Sept 6 2005 From a guy with a feedback score of 1 (one) I said: Payment short $18.41.Payment Refunded Uncashed.Very NASTY and UNPROFFESIONAL !! He said: This person is a RIPP-OFF I then said: OUCH ! Now heres a real NICE guy ! LOOK AT HIS FEEDBACK !! AVOID THIS GUY !! Note: HE ALSO HAS OTHER NEGATIVE FEEDBACK WITH A TOTAL SCORE OF 1 CASE 2: Febuary 2 2004 from a guy with a feedback score of (-2) NEGATIVE 2 He Said: "paid for prority got express" We said: Paid Express Mail, shipped Express Mail.Tracking # ER324811580US at https://www.usps.comThen we said: "We Shipped EXPRESS Mail and Even Threw in an Extra Bulb For This Jerk ! : {" Case 3: June 5 2003: I said: Warp Speed PayPal Payment. A True Asset To ebay. A Pleasure To Serve. 5AA+++++++ He said: "Drakkar bottle not the product inside wouldn't return email very disappointed :(" I said: WHAT?! Not Real?Very Real, And You Never Emailed Us!+ BEWARE THIS BAD eBAYer+ My reasoning: The bottles of DRAKKAR were sealed and bought from an insurance sale after a fire in NY city. I sold hundreds of them to retailers all over the country with no problems. I believe he had my bottle mixed up with someone else's, but I'll never know for sure. As I said earlier, I am not scared to leave a negative feedback when it is deserved. If I deserve one then I will accept it. As a moderator of this site, how can you openly question my integrity? You don't know me. I have worked very hard to make my customers happy on ebay. I will go out of my way and have many times gone above and beyond for a customer. You sir have absolutley no right to question me. I think that you are just trying to show out in front of all these people. Heck, I'm the new guy and you are a GOD. I don't think I deserve your remarks. I can't believe you said this to me: "I think you joined this forum just to squeal on somebody else who beat you at your own game." I can tell by that statement that you are getting personal and I must have stepped on your toes. If so then sorry. Sir, I can assure you that you will not find a more honest person on ebay than my wife and myself. We have NEVER beat ANYONE out of ANYTHING. We don't want anything that is not ours. The reason I joined this forum was to talk coins and to mostly read about other people's expierences with collecting. An ebay member suggested posting the hyperlink here.

What Feedback Percentage do they suspend at? Posted: Aug-22-06 10:58 PDT bobmill (28668 ) View Listings | Posts: 51,133 | Report -4 Really. If your actual feedback hits that, you are suspended on the spot (although it takes a human to mark you as NARU). Percentage, however, never enters into it. B-L, for example, has over 21,000 negatives and a feedback percentage aroud 82%. He is beloved by ebay management anyway since he pays so much in fees. http://answercenter.ebay.com/thread...D=11&start=0

You are right about the percentages. That should be changed. When your feedback hits less than 85% positive you should be expelled from the site.

I think sellers should be able to set a minimum feedback % allowed to bid on their items. Buyers have a choice to look at a sellers feedback and decide to bid or not. Sellers don't have that luxury with buyers and they should.

So in reality, the package only isn't insured until its lost and you don't get paid." ========================================================= Well, my bad. I should have checked his FB before bidding. Nine neutrals and 26 negs in past month; 55 and 64 in the past six months. Powerseller, so they won't do squat. "Private insurance" at USPS rate? Nawwwww. Heck, if I overcharge people I do a Paypal refund. Guess I expect too much.

Biggest myth going. Obviously you've never been one and broken the rules or frequented an ebay dedicated forum. quote: "Private insurance" at USPS rate? Nawwwww.
Nothing wrong with that. Any business person (any good one anyway) will tell your money is made when you buy, not when you sell. (Yes, insurance is a product.) A flat rate tech that is so good it takes him an hour to do a job that pays 2, won't give you the hour back. Cost of sale in none of a buyers' business. The insurance coverage from U-pic or DSI is 10 times BETTER than USPS insurance anyway. Besides, if you try to charge less than USPS rate you get angry emails from people thinking your ripping them off because you couldn't possibly have insured it for that much money. Believe me we tried to sell it cheaper and it blew up in our face. quote: Well, my bad. I should have checked his FB before bidding. Yep, regardless of his feedback, you accused the seller of ripping you off for insurance and he did not, which I tried to point out nicely. Yes, his postage was high for how he sent it though.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but if you self insure, doesn't a seller have to send the package with signature required to prove it wasn't delivered? Otherwise, how would the seller know it didn't arrive and the buyer was lying? Conversely, how do I know, as a buyer that the seller DID have insurance on it if the package doesn't say anything? If I, as a buyer, pay for insurance, I would like to have something to show that there was insurance on the package. Otherwise, I will think the seller padded their fees at the risk of my coin, and if I don't get it, I will get into a big fight over it. That is something I want to avoid.

"Insurance" reads like "steal me" to some people. Some people have this twisted mindset that it's impossible to steal from an insurance company. quote: Maybe I'm missing something here, but if you self insure, doesn't a seller have to send the package with signature required to prove it wasn't delivered?
Delivery Confirmation is fine, unless its an expensive item, or the buyer has rotten feedback. quote: Conversely, how do I know, as a buyer that the seller DID have insurance on it if the package doesn't say anything?
You just have to trust your seller. There's no sure way to know unless the package get lost or damaged and you don't get reimbursed. Just because a seller didn't pay someone to insure it, doesn't mean it isn't insured. If you buy something from me on this forum and I tell you the package is insured, it's insured. quote: Otherwise, I will think the seller padded their fees at the risk of my coin, and if I don't get it, I will get into a big fight over it.
If the seller plans to make good on losses then it's insured, it's not padding - it's insurance, regardless if he pays someone else to insure your package. Your money isn't at risk.

Welcome to Coin Community, Coin_man.
I read through the entire auction and all of your information and there are a lot of red flags on his auctions. He states right in the auction that he doesn't guarantee the coin hasn't been cleaned, so he was within his terms of service. This does not mean that I agree with his actions at all. I think that a seller who needs to charge a restocking fee obviously gets way too many returns or this fee wouldn't be necessary and 20% is very high. Couple that with his shipping charges and he can make a nice little profit off the same coin multiple times.
I think it looked a little suspicious that your first posts here were in the Discouraged Sellers section. It gives the appearance of joining only to complain. While I am sure that was not your intention, I'm sure you can understand why it may appear that way.
As our forum has continued to grow, we get more and more people who join just to spam, scam, drive-by link, or otherwise cause problems. This is part of the price of growth. We do everything we can to discourage these activities and make it difficult for these people.
If your posts have been misinterpreted, please accept my apology, but also try to understand why it may have seemed to our staff that this could be a problem brewing.

Can't believe the audacity of some folk!! I just won an item for $12.50. It's a light item ( Vatican FDC set ), not heavy to post. The guy didn't reply to my question on post to the UK but his US postage charge was $6.00. He then goes & bills me $21.00 for UK postage! I wrote back pointing out how unfair the postage was & that surely he must of made the mistake or was he going to post it in a gold leafed package? I get no reply. I wrote again, no reply again. Eventually after a few days I pay to avoid getting a 'no payment strike' against me. Item turns up today bent, poorly packaged & postage cost of $3.60!! I was so annoyed I went & gave my first negative feedback. Sad thing is I know he'll ruin my clean slate by giving me bad feedback in return. So unfair! I think sellers should be made to give feedback as soon as payment is received. Otherwise the feedback system cannot accurately reflect a persons record because folk may not wish to have their feedback tarnished by firstly giving negative feedback out. In this case beware seller ukraine4u from NJ, USA. Item number 230147671693. A lesson learnt on my part. Know the postage cost or don't bid! NB. Just received that negative feedback in return. It amazes me how some folk sink so low with their lies. Folk like this ruin the ebay experience.

If the postage and other fees like insurance are not list, even in the description, I don't bid. I don't even ask the seller anymore, what the costs are. I figure they don't want to post it then I don't want to bid on it. I need all the information at my finger tips before I bid. That's just me.
