Maybe wrong section to post but I found interesting and mintage of 1 million is low for circulating coin. I just receive a few from ebay and they are very nice anzac coins. I also like Australia's 2015 2 dollar circulating colored anzac coin and just receive a few of these also (my avatar). Australians are reporting these hard to find in circulation with mintage 7.5 million, if I remember right.

Although 1 million mintage might seem low, remember NZ isn't as populous as the US, Canada or even Australia. 1 million sounds like a fair mintage to me, considering NZ has about 4 million in population.

I hate how some of the most interesting modern pieces are released on the wrong side of the world

They're "old news" down here; Anzac Day was back in April. I bought one from a coin show in May.

Even though 1 million may be a reasonably-sized mintage for an NZ coin, when I go to NZ next month on holiday, I'll be looking for these but not really expecting to find one in circulation. These colorized coins tend to disappear very quickly from change.
