2010 & 2011 Lincoln Wheat Cent / LWC S - Die Crack & Die Clash(?)

rayof315 Valued Member United States 241 Posts	Posted 09/03/2015 10:53 pm No biggies, but picked up two coin rolls at the grocery store on the way home from work, and found these two LSCs. The die crack has zinc problems. I gave it a quick acetone bath and will apply some Verdi-Care that I plan on ordering tomorrow. Hopefully, it will stop what almost seems to be a rusting process going on by the U near the rim. Great cartwheels, though. The 2011, I was thinking was a no-brainer die clash, but then I started wondering: the thin incuse lines and incuse letters (the U and part of the N in UNUM) of the shield are raised on the obverse. Is that as it should be? Or is this a cent someone has messed with? The reverse of the coin looks perfectly normal as far as I can tell.
