Is it ok to list a best offer coin just to get an accurate price of a coin? I want to list a mint state 1972 D half dollar DDO-001 and make it a best offer listing. I want to do this so I can get an accurate price range. Is it ok if I don't sell it after I get an offer?

You talking on CCF or ebay?

If the former, no, it would not be cool to list and pull like that. Just post a thread and ask what the value is.

Not sure about ebay rules though.

Best to always be honest. If you want to know something, just ask. No need to "experiment."
