If you want to keep the tradition going go to the bank and get a box of cents.

Bury some, drop some in grassy areas, etc and they will eventually end up in the ground for the next generation to find.

It would be a plus if you got a solid box of 2015's. I haven't gotten a solid box at all this year of nickels or cents whereas the last 3 years I have gotten at least 4 of each.

Send it to me? I am a young numismatist who would love a coin like that! Lol, oh well. I think that if you want to bury a coin, it should be mint state and newer, so the next generation can dig up an old and nice coin!
