Ngc recognized the Ddr-004 a couple months back I'm about to send of my coin yo anacs to have it listed as discovery specimen. Do you think it will matter which one does it. I think it will grade around ms 64 or something not sure but just wondering who would be better? http://www.ngccoin.com/news/viewart...ead-Quarters

It will be worth more if NGC does it but it will cost more to have NGC slab it then ANACS. John1

I would use ANACS but NGC's resell value would be more.

I don't really like the look of Anacs holders. I think NGC would be your best bet, IMO.

What's the cost difference? Will you make part/all that back going with one over the other? Are you likely to sell your discovery specimen?

NGC. It is a coup that NGC attributed the WDDR-004 so quickly. Take advantage of it.

Are you talking abour ddr-004? Because if you are its not the discovery piece. If you're talking about an actual unlisted new discovery, you have to send it to a variety attributer, who than can send it to a slabber as a discovery piece.

Yes ddr-004 also It would be the discovery piece. I think I would sell it eventually as long as I have another I don't mind letting go of the actual discovery piece

I think if it were my decision, I would pay the extra to have it authenticated/slabbed by the higher/highest third party grading service. I'm not sure if that means double the cost or not (I imagine not), but I'd have to think that you would get that back with a sale of the piece.
Like buying insurance I suppose; pay the extra for the extra coverage with the hopes you'll never need to use it. But you sure are glad you had when a black cloud arrives unexpectedly.
Good luck tweak!

oh wow, so tweak you were the original discoverer of wddr-004? thats pretty awesome if thats the case, I could see the discovery piece going for quite a bit more than a normal slab. In regards to pricing on slabs, pcgs would run you around $50 with shipping, where as anacs would run you about half that, not sure with ngc as ive never submitted there
