I can't figure out if this medal is intended for a culinary competition or for manufacturers of a digestive aid? Does anyone speak French?

Thank you. Great link, but I am still confused. As I suspected, the French does translate to Culinary arts. But maybe an alimentary product meant something different in 1882.
