The RCM runs an X for X program where you can pick up NCLT at face. I buy the 20 for 20 coins and use them at yard sales/ flea markets as a "boost" (You want $80, how about $60 in silver coins)

I don't like the way this cougar has his front two legs joining his body and the face looks flat. I will keep my cougar coins as a 1967 quarter.

They have $20, $50, 100, and $200 dollar coins that sell for their respective face value. Other countries also offer face value pure silver coins. I wish the U.S. mint would do the same, I would love to have some legal tender in silver, rather than just base metal and paper fiat money.

You can take a look at one of the topics here.
There on many pages conversation, that these coins are doubtful "legal tender" cause except rare cases, no business takes them. Even the banks have special procedures to accept the coins for face value.

It's the fact that you still might be able to spend it that makes the difference. On the plus side, if the CAD collapses in value, you still have the silver melt.

Except for someone who doesn't have a regular bank account, and a few members here, there is no problem in depositing these types of coins into your home bank branch. There is a system in place for the banks to redeem and added fees for them, like I keep saying the big 5 big banks don't make 2 billion dollars every 90 days by being nice to customers who doesn't have accounts with them.
