1945 Penny Letters In The Hair And Ear?

SadiesAngel Valued Member United States 184 Posts	Posted 09/20/2015 3:29 pm I have this interesting 1945 penny that I came across. What is happening with this coin? I would really appreciate any input. The first picture is just of the coin The second picture the "e" in WE is off The third and fourth picture as I looked down the coin there is an F in his hair. The firth picture as I continued down the coin had a "e" in his ear. I didn't really see any doubling but possibly on some of the letters? I would really appreciate any opinions. cwb Pillar of the Community United States 3463 Posts	Posted 09/20/2015 6:03 pm I think it is "Bunny in the cloud" syndrome. It happens when you look at the clouds so long you start to see shapes of animals or other objects. The same thing can happen when you look at coins to deeply. Report this Post to the Staff

When I saw the little e in the ear and the f in the hair I knew I hadn't been drinking or anything and found it looking more like a where's Waldo type of coin being it looked like some other letters in there as well but now glad I didn't post it lol. Anyway didn't look normal lol. I have seen the "e" in we since, as It appears the norm in all the other 1945s. Anyway thank you everyone for the input. Report this Post to the Staff
