This is in an ANACS old white holder graded MS64

I see the crack below the date and the die chip on the date. Also there is the clash above the eagle's right wing. I am still learning and could use the experts opinions! Also, if I were to send this in for cross over to PCGS, do they attribute any VAMs?

It looks like a VAM4A and is on the list of VAMs attributed by PCGS as it's a HOT50. http://www.vamworld.com/1888-P+VAM-4A

Do you think its worth sending for a cross over and attribution?

I wouldn't bother myself. I really like the old ANACS holders and really don't care to toss additional money at my coins but the answer to your question depends on what your plans are.

Nice coin matt! I have to agree with dave here. Those tiny anacs "hotel" soapbar slabs (ya I made that up) are cool and semi collectible in their own right. I just picked one up myself with some awesome electric blue toning that you can see in my Long Beach Expo purchases thread in the main coin forum. I wonder if these slabs help the toning along?

My ultimate goal is to do a matched mintmark set in PCGS MS64. So far I have 3/5 and only one in PCGS! Maybe I'll do a different slab for each coin!

You're going to run out of reputable TPG companies unless you change up the slab generation. What I said above still applies, there's no sense in throwing additional cash at coins to have them re-slabbed. Think about it this way, with the money spent to have three coins re-graded by PCGS you could purchase another MS64 Morgan. Buy what you want already slabbed. my 2 cents.

That is very sound advice! Thanks!
