Why are so many Dansco's hard to find? I have been looking on ebay, Wizard Coin Supply, JP's Corner...seems many are out of stock and apparently out of print. Why is it so hard to find a plain Dansco for Washington quarters? I wanna do a clad set of 1965-1998.

Dansco #7137 is the blank Quarters album

I have noticed that. I am beginning to believe that Dansco has stopped making all of their albums, not just the 7070.

There is one guy at the coin shows that I go to and just deals with folders, albums etc. He told me that dansco is a mom and pop shop and that they don't have the business part down and aren't producing albums on a daily basis. So its a company that is in shackles he says and someone needs to come in and buy it and take it to the point were they once used to be.

Hear that, Whitman? Back when you were called Harris, you bought out Whitman and took their name; keeping both Harris and Whitman lines. Why not buy Dansco for your Cadillac line? You can keep the Whitman corporate name this time.

May happen yet. And don't forget they also make US Mint Albums. And if you look at their web site and see how many coin books they make, I too wonder when they will buy up all the other coin companies.
