I just purchased this set of three medals on ebay and need help from the pros on identifying them. It appears they were stuck in pure silver by the Aeunaciones Espanolas, SA which WAS based in Barcelona from what I can tell from "googling" the company. The medals are alleged to be struck of pure silver and weigh 25.4/25.2/20.8 gms. The case looks to be covered in fine leather and the patina on the brass clasp seems to indicate some significant age on the set. Any info on numbers struck, when struck, identification, value, etc. would be most appreciated. PG

They are Catalan, rather than Spanish which means that they probably post date 1975 and the death of Franco. Under the Caudillo, Catalan nationalism was supressed; only to see a great outpouring afterwards. San Jordi is the same character as St. George and the Monastery at Montserrat is the destination of a very festive pilgrimage or Aplec to pay respects to Catalunya's Patron Saint, the Black Virgin.
