I recently put this together, not for investment purposes or any reason other than a labour of love. I searched through a _lot_ of proof sets to find the deepest cameos and perfect coins. I recently sent this set in as part of a modern batch of coins. I love it... it is not in an registry, just a PCGS showcase set to look at. http://www.pcgs.com/SetRegistry/sho...aspx?sc=2314I am debating about adding the 1998 "Antique" large cent to this set, it is not a proof strike. I am also considering adding in some of the 2012 Farewell to the Penny 1-cent coins (except that darn 5 oz hockey puck)... Anyhow, let me know what you think. A nice set indeed, and all other none higher. Even for modern RCM peices I must say it is pretty sweet. I would not add the antique finish one, but that is my opinion only. The farewell silver set from 2012 was a nice set and I wish I had grabbed one. They look great.

Nice set! I had that gold plated penny for a while (in a set) and sold it about a year ago. Everytime I see a photo of it I get a little feeling of regret.

The 2003 gold plated 1c is the lowest mintage of them all, if you exclude the 5 oz hockey puck and some of the Farewell to the Penny coins. I think roughly 8700 were made.

Great set, I especially like the gold gilt Ag, and the 2003 Annual Report Penny.
No population higher.
I stand corrected Silveroid, and have edited this post.

Quote: I especially like the gold gilt Ag 1/2 ounce I agree with you, that 1/2oz siver Penny amazing coin, but the one that SSP-Ottawa showcases, bit more unique. It has been taken from 2012 Silver Proof set, and has dimensions of standard Penny (this is not 1/2oz coin) Great Pennies, SSP-Ottawa...do not add the Antique finished one, it doesn't really fit traditional proof of the rest
