Can anyone recommend a book or guide concerning the subject header? I'm seeing more and more medallions listed on ebay, as an example the 1867 - 1967 copper and silver ones (can't afford the gold one on icollector, lol). Also notice royal visit medallions, etc.

Just wondering what other types are out there to collect!

Thanks!

I think they are doing a coin exhibit based on that theme. The old RCNA director for New Brunswick (Tim Henderson) collects '67 tokens so I will ask him about it next coin meeting ( a week from today).

What I do for my Atlantic Canadian exonumia collection is buy books on transportation tokens or trade tokens and only focus on the sections I collect. Serge Pelletier wrote a few guides on trade tokens and a lot of those had special 1967 issues for example. As for a specific book nothing comes to mind.

There is some info if you have access to the very early Charltons . Check HA.com for completed auctions and also a few were sold via I collector in the last few years.

Thanks Harmonica. Did make a typo though.. was a 1867 - 1927 gold one I seen on icollector I think. But I do have a few 1967 ones, some of the royal visit, etc.

I'll take a look for some of the books you've mentioned, thanks! And old charlton guide :)
