Hello, My first post and I hope I have it in the correct forum.
With that said, I need help trying to identify a token. I was going through some old coins my family had passed down when I came across a token labeled US Marine Corp 1900 China Relief Expedition. Now though my searches this week, all I keep coming across are Medals which state the same, not tokens/coins. All had loops where ribbons would be attached at the top. What I have is different. It is a metal token/coin the size of a dime and non magnetic with the color of an old penny. Smooth all around with no filing (just like a penny and about the same thickness). Please see the pictures I uploaded. My local coin collectors are dumbfounded because of the size of it. It doesn't match anything online (that I can find). Can anyone help identifying it? Any information is much appreciated. Thanks.

It's a medal for serving in the expeditionary force.

Parklane64,

Thanks for the link. I have come across that as well, but this is not the same. This is the size of a dime and has a smooth edge with no loop for attaching the ribbon. Those medals are larger (size of a quarter) and have different eagles and anchors on them. The design is different as well (similar, but there are differences).

This page: http://www.foxfall.com/csm-navy-cre.htm states the medal is 1 1/4" across. Mine is ~5/8 inch diameter.
