I think selling an Alexander III tet for just $25 is a sure sign that it's fake. Though I must say it's a very good one.

You know, it looks good to me. Id check the fake reports, though. It'll take an in-hand examination, I think.

when I receive the coin I will post weight and take better photos. Maybe I got lucky Haven't seen fakes with a counter mark also the seller doesn't accept returns so most bidders were scared away.

There are definitely fake Alexander tets with countermarks, including the Seleucid anchor countermark...a couple of which, for example, are at the forgerynetwork. Having said that, I have not spotted your coin there or at Forum. The obverse style of your coin seems - at least to me - to reference an issue from Aspendos (including the countermark, which were common on those), but I do not recognize the reverse monogram. (I'm certainly no expert on these, though) The fabric does look good...as Echizento said, if it's a fake, it's a good one.

I have about 100 fake ancient coins in my 'black' reference collection.
I don't like this one.
The fields look greasy, and and are covered with tiny craters.

I will buy fake coins, provided that they are sold as fakes, or I feel positive that they are fakes, and provided the price is right. That is how I have managed to build up my 'black' reference collection.

You paid a little too much for this one; I would have paid up to $10.
