Am I the first to notice there can be significant differences in the toning on Gold-Plated NCLT?

I have one 5 cent from RCM (Subscription) and another from Canada Post (Clamshell).

If you look at my photo, you'll notice the coin on the right is really dark gold while the coin on the left is a faint gold. It is not the lighting. I noticed it when I put my coins side by side.

Or could this be a case of me having a counterfeit coin? Though I doubt so as I bought them from Crown Corporations.

No, they should be genuine OK.

But in other post you've mentioned about coins from Canada Post. So could be, not the previous owner, but the CP opened the capsule and let the toning to be created?
well...I think, I'm joking...sorry

But Interesting observation, Wilson.
I have two coins from this serie - first from dealer and the last from CP - on both of them the gold looks bright.
